He's recently accused Syracuse mayor candidate Joanie Mahoney of anti-Semitism after she questioned the participation of an Israeli firm, reputedly associated with major downtown absentee landlord Eli Hadad, in plans for the closed and bankrupt Hotel Syracuse.
Mahoney is apparently a bad, bad person because the folks she's got questions about happen to be Jewish.
Interestingly enough, Romeo makes no mention -- nor did he ever -- of the recent anti-Semitic slur made by one of his fellow Democrats -- this one a town supervisor.
Call to mind, if you can, the comments of Salina Supervisor Mary Ann Schadt, who said the town was being "jewed" in highway maintenance repayments...
