Once again human ingenuity has out done itself. We've come up with a technology that allows us to drill for oil over a mile below the surface of the ocean while at the same time failing to account for the possibility that a disaster could occur when refusing to spend the money necessary to expect the unexpected in the first place. It truly is amazing that the human race has lasted as long as it has. The one question I have is when will the animals all get together and decide that they have had enough of the human race and start doing some of what we've done to them over the past one hundred years in kind to us...
Just a thought but maybe if BP had planned ahead they might have been better prepared to clean up after themselves. Their attempts to plug the well look like Wiley Coyotes failed attempts at trying to catch the Road Runner with a series of Acme Products. It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic. I wonder how many back up plans they have because at this point it looks like they may just have a dart board with various post it notes attached to it that they simply throw darts at and hope something works...
