Olympic Mess

Time once again for the world to set aside all it's disagreements and come together in a spirit of peace and harmony. That is of course if the Olympic torch can survive the gaunlet of protestors and years of human rights abuses commited by the Chinese Government. In the history of bad pr the Chinese have managed to achieve almost legendary status. In order to complete their Olympic dreams they displace millions of people, pump millions of gallons of polution into the air and water and as if that wasn't enough they decide that now would be a good time to crack down on Tibet. As a direct result the Olimpics that they have worked so hard to host will end up being a stage for every type of anti-Chinese protest imaginable.

Reverend Wright

The recent attempt of Reverend Jerimiah Wright to redeem himself at the cost of Barrack Obamas Presidential Campaign may not do alot of good for either one of them. Reverend Wright put Mr.Obama in the awkward position of having to contradict himself by either disowning Wright completly or giving support to some of Wrights more controversial statements. Obama did the only thing he could by breaking all ties with the Reverend and in doing so may have convinced those voters that believed Wright spoke for Obama that he (Obama) deserved a second chance...

The one thing you can say about Americans is that in times of trouble we always seem to find a way to overcome adversity. I admit that the economy is in chaos and that gas prices are enough to make you want to buy a horse but if we just stay calm and downsize our vehicles, homes and lattes we might just find a way to carry on...
