Bipartisan chaos

jbrenneman, Outbursts
How many people think that the best way for the two parties to resolve their problems would be a pay per view cage fighting event. Mind you I'm not one for violence, but the prospect of generating a large amount of revenue from such an event could be just the stimulus the economy needs. Besides it would give people sitting at home working on their resumes and their facebook status something to watch...

Stimuls Debate

jbrenneman, Outbursts
The American people should be proud of the intense debate that is going into the creation of a stimulus package. Despite the fact that the longer it takes the more unemployed people there are. Unfortunately despite our new Presidents best intentions the ability of those who serve us to not get anything done trumps the best of intentions every time. One of those days

jbrenneman, Outbursts
The problem with the ever increasing speed of the growth of technology is that it has already over taken the ability of modern man to keep up. I hate to say it but maybe we should just give in and let the robots take over. Foreclosures

jbrenneman, Outbursts
The bright side of the current crisis in the houseing market is an increase in affordable homes. It is heart breaking to hear some of the stories and to witness friends losing their homes either because of their own misjudgement or as a result of a corrupt mortgage system. We all have our own vision of the American dream. Some people however dream alot bigger than others and in many instances that is the reason for the mess the country now faces. We are told from childhood to dream big and on the surface this is a wonderful and neccessary bit of wisdom needed to inspire children to achieve great things...

The dangers of being a Cartoonist?

jbrenneman, Outbursts
Ironically in an era of news papers being shut down and cartoonists loosing their jobs the protest over a recently published cartoon in the New York Post shows just how effective having cartoons in a publication can be. However the complete lack of good judgement and knowledge of cultural sensitivity on the part of the cartoonist and his editors shows how destructive images can be to the fabric of a civil society. Many cartoonists throughout history have actually played a big part in revealing the true character of some truly vile characters in business and politics. Unfortunately they have also helped to reenforce terrible stereotypes of many ethnic minorities in this country. As a cartoonist I think one of the most important tools is knowledge...
