For the last quarter of the 20th century, the late Pinky Lipe’s talents dominated Skaneateles’ Christmas landscape. She whipped up many an intricate Christmas Village and probably decorated more than 150 different public holiday trees. Her touch remains, in her children and in her creative projects that fueled many a Skaneateles child’s imagination.
Phyllis Burt Lipe, also known as Pinky, passed away in August after a lengthy illness, which kept her away from her beloved village of Skaneateles.
