Enable honored several employees on Friday Feb. 27 at its annual employee luncheon.

Susan Meacham of Baldwinsville was given a professionalism award. She is pictured accepting her award from Enable Board Member Michael Wirtheim, also of Baldwinsville.

Meacham, program coordinator with Comprehensive Clinical Services, is the “go-to” person for both administrative and clinical staff. The year 2008 will long be remembered as the year we introduced ReDoc and electronic medical records. Meacham has been the one to absorb much of this new information, figure out how to use it and then train others. As a supervisor she demonstrates fairness to everyone who works with her.

The following employees were recognized for their involvement in Enable’s monthly Family Nights, educational nights for children with disabilities and their parents:
Angela Saturno of Baldwinsville, program manager of service coordination
Amy Miles of Warners, program manager of service coordination

The following Baldwinsville residents were recognized for supervising interns at Enable:
Ben Blais, physical therapist
Meacham

Employees were also recognized for their years of service to Enable. Baldwinsville residents honored were:
15 Years – Nona Chadwick, personal assistant
10 Years – Sylvia Noll, social worker with education services
Five Years – Paris Foreman, employment consultant; Blais; and Meacham.

Since 1948, Enable’s mission has been to enhance the quality of life for people with developmental or physical disabilities through an array of services. Each year they provide assessment, training, therapy and support for over 1,600 children and adults with disabilities and their families. Enable empowers people with disabilities to achieve their goals at home, school, work and play. For more information about Enable, call 455-7591 or visit their Web site at enablecny.org.
