I am A Cartoonist, Illustrator, Writer, Teacher, Father, Husband, Son, Brother, Cousin, Grandson, Former Marine and Work in Progress. I don't expect people to always agree with me but I do hope that if they don't they respect my point of view as I do theirs even though they are wrong.
I could go off on a long partisan rant about how the childish behavior of the Republican party is petty and self defeating but that would only be redundant. If they ever want to regain what they have lost they are first going to have to reevaluate their own actions before casting stones,come up with some vaild alternatives to the Presidents proposals and present them in a rational manner rather than rely on talk radio hosts like Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck to insight fear and paranoia in a segment of the population who already feels left out of the political process because their candidate lost the election...
Apparently the road to bankruptcy is paved in bailout money. If the end result of giving the automoble industry money in order to save itself from bankruptcy is bankruptcy then they have achieved thier intended goal. The lesson I take away from all this mess is rather a simple one. It doesn't seem to make any difference how much money you spend or how many years you may spend in college or business school if you never have any common sense in life you are destined to screw things up. Knowledge, power and wisdom do not always go hand in hand...
We have nothing to fear except for the people that use fear to advance their own agendas. Although both parties can be accused of using fear to achieve their desired goals Dick Cheney along with Carl Rove will go down in history as experts in the field...

At this point the war in Iraq has lasted too long to actually find any humor in it anymore. Absurd and tragically comical perhaps, but funny is not a word I would use. During my time in the Marines I discovered that sometimes even in the most dire of situations people will say some of the funniest things. Proving that, maybe the only ones that can really find any humor in the Iraq war are the people who have to live it every day of their lives...
