If you're reading this, you've already noticed our new blogging platform and design, and you've undoubtedly noticed the design changes throughout the cnylink.com website. But we're far from done making improvements.

We're in the midst of finishing up a new news platform that will make our news more readable, and will better integrate multimedia files within our stories. That means you can expect to see more videos and photo galleries, attached to the stories we post online.

The new platform will also allow our users to sort news based on the community they want to read about. Want just Baldwinsville news? You'll be able to get it with just a click of a button. Cazenovia? No problem...

In the past few days, I've been seeing more and more about the quest for better gas mileage, and the ridiculous lengths some people will go to eek out a couple extra miles for each gallon they pour into their tanks.

It's all pretty pathetic, really. Here we are, scraping to get 22 mpg instead of 21, driving slower, braking less, coasting more. Why pathetic? Well, because I think we're smarter than that.

You may have heard of the X-Prize before. The organizers are offering $10 million to the best design of a car that can go more than 100 miles on a single tank of gas...

"You just have to decide if you're a Tigger or an Eeyore. I think I'm clear where I stand on the great Tigger/Eeyore debate. Never lose the childlike wonder. It's just too important. It's what drives us."

Randy Pausch spoke the words above. I told you about Randy a while back, and about how his "Last lecture" was inspiring people around the globe. Randy died this morning, after a valiant fight against cancer. The doctors had given him until February, so one must imagine that it was his spirit that allowed him to muscle out another four months.

I don't have much more to say, except another thank you to Randy for living a life of inspiration. He proved that only the good die young...
